● Energy

In parallel with a steadily developing economy and rapid urbanization, Turkey’s energy demand is increasing rapidly. The liberalization and opening of the energy market to competition began to be implemented from 2001 onwards, allowing investors to enter the energy sector. Within this context, YDA Group operates in the energy sector under the brand name YDA Enerji.
YDA Enerji has started investing in renewable energy projects and continues comprehensive development and feasibility studies for power plants utilizing various renewable energy sources across different regions of Turkey. The company is also engaged in energy fields currently in the licensing phase.
Within YDA Agriculture, solar energy system established in 2016 meets the facility’s energy needs while selling excess electricity back to the grid.
A First from Dalaman Airport:
The World’s Largest Solar Power Plant Installed on a Terminal Roof Meets Energy Needs from the Sun
YDA Dalaman Airport has set a global precedent with the world’s largest solar power plant installed on the terminal building’s roof, launching a solar energy project with an annual production capacity of 10,230 MWh. This project, covering more than 55% of the airport’s annual energy requirement, aims to protect 200,000 trees annually and reduce emissions by approximately 4,500 tons of CO₂.
YDA Group has implemented a significant project for Turkey at YDA Dalaman Airport—one of the country’s busiest airports—within the framework of renewable energy production and sustainability strategies. Taking important steps toward becoming one of the world’s most energy-efficient and environmentally friendly airports, the first phase of the solar power plant at YDA Dalaman Airport has been completed, featuring 15,000 solar panels installed on a 45,000 m² steel-structured project area.
